Lisa Engel, MDLisa Engel, MD, is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist providing comprehensive women’s healthcare at North Florida Women’s Care in Tallahassee, Florida. Dr. Engel specializes in obstetrics and gynecology services, offering personalized care for women throughout all stages of life.
Dr. Engel’s medical education began at the Florida State University College of Medicine, where she earned her medical doctorate in 2016. Before medical school, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Florida (2008) and a Master of Science in Molecular Medicine from the University of South Florida (2011).
During her time at FSU College of Medicine, Dr. Engel served as a Curriculum Management Information Technology Researcher and received both an FSU Mission Scholarship and a Summer Research Fellowship, demonstrating her commitment to medical education and research.
Dr. Engel completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Orlando Health, where she served as Academic Chief Resident for OB/GYN between 2019 and 2020. She achieved board certification in obstetrics and gynecology in 2022, meeting the highest standards of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
From August 2020 to June 2021, Dr. Engel worked as a Hospitalist and Clinical Associate Professor with the University of Texas Health’s McGovern Medical School in Houston, where she gained valuable experience in acute women’s healthcare and medical education.
Dr. Engel returned to Tallahassee in summer 2021, bringing her expertise back to North Florida to serve the community where she completed her medical education.

Dr. Engel is married to Dr. Adam J. Engel, a radiologist and fellow FSU College of Medicine graduate. They are the proud parents of twin girls. When not caring for patients, Dr. Engel enjoys cooking, baking, traveling, and spending time with her English Springer Spaniel.
