Vikki McKinnie, MD

Vikki M. McKinnie, M.D., is from Sneads and a native Floridian. She received her Associate of Arts degree from Chipola Junior College. During her undergraduate career she was a recipient of the Florida Undergraduate Scholarship. She continued her undergraduate education at the University of Florida and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Science. She graduated with highest honors in May 1997. She received her medical degree from the University of Florida in 2001.

She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. During her residency, she was involved in medical student education and was recognized for her teaching efforts. She was awarded the John R. McCain, M.D. presentation for outstanding research by the South Atlantic Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in January 2005. Additional recognitions given to her by the Medical University of South Carolina faculty include the Resident Research Award and the J. Marion Sims Award for Surgical Excellence. She completed her residency training in June 2005. She is an active member of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, American Medical Association, Capital Medical Society and Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She also serves on the clinical faculty of the Florida State University College of Medicine.

Dr. McKinnie and her husband have a daughter.

Dr. McKinnie’s current practice is gynecology only.
