Lindsay Hinson, MD, FACOGLindsay Hinson, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist and Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists providing comprehensive women’s healthcare at North Florida Women’s Care in Tallahassee, Florida. With over a decade of experience in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Hinson specializes in minimally invasive surgery, high-risk obstetrics, and patient-centered care.
Dr. Hinson joined North Florida Women’s Care in June 2021, bringing eight years of post-residency experience as a partner at Women’s Care Florida, a large private practice in Tampa.

Dr. Hinson is a Tallahassee native, born and raised in Florida’s capital city. She graduated from Leon High School before pursuing her undergraduate education at Wingate University, where she graduated first in her class. As a student-athlete, Dr. Hinson was an Academic All-American volleyball player and earned recognition as a Woody Hayes National Scholar Athlete.
Dr. Hinson earned her medical degree from the Florida State University College of Medicine, where she served as vice president of FSUCares and was inducted into the Gold Humanism in Medicine Honor Society, recognizing her commitment to compassionate patient care.
She completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Shands Hospital in Gainesville through the University of Florida, receiving comprehensive training in all aspects of women’s healthcare.
Dr. Hinson has deep roots in the Tallahassee community. North Florida Women’s Care delivered her oldest child while she was a medical student at FSU, creating a full-circle moment when she joined the practice to serve local families.
Dr. Hinson lives in Tallahassee with her husband, Shane, and their three children. She and Shane are licensed foster parents and have provided loving foster placement for four children in recent years, demonstrating their commitment to serving their community beyond the medical office.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Hinson enjoys Florida State football, playing volleyball, hiking, and outdoor activities with her family.
