Alex Franz, MDAlex Franz, MD, FACOG, provides comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology care in North Florida. A native of Marianna, Florida, Dr. Franz proudly serves women at every stage of life with compassionate, patient-focused care.
Dr. Franz began his education at Chipola Junior College and earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Science from Florida State University. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine in 2000.
Dr. Franz completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2004 and served as Chief Resident. During his residency, he earned recognition from medical students for excellence in teaching and received the Outstanding Consultant Award from department faculty.
Dr. Franz holds board certification from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and achieved Fellow status with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG) in 2006.

Dr. Franz practices both obstetrics and gynecology, offering prenatal care, pregnancy management, and a full range of gynecologic services for women in North Florida.
Dr. Franz is married and has three children. He enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, fly fishing, and training his bird dog, June Carter.
