Briana Thompson, MD
Briana Thompson, MD, grew up in Gainesville, FL, and has practiced medicine for four years. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University of South Florida in 2010 and graduated from The Florida State University School of Medicine in 2014. She completed her OBGYN residency with the University of Florida at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola.
Dr. Thompson served as the Region 4 coordinator for the residency division of the American Medical Women’s Association and as the American Congress of Obstetricians & Gynecologists’ District XII, Section 1 Junior Fellow Chair.
While at Sacred Heart Hospital, her research focused on improving the management of high blood pressure in pregnancy, reducing infection following cesarean delivery, and refining interconception care. She also participated in several medical and surgical mission trips abroad throughout her training. Dr. Thompson is fluent in Spanish.
She sees patients for obstetric and gynecologic care.
