TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) -- This fall, men across Tallahassee have volunteered to carry some extra luggage around for a good cause.

Local men are enduring a nine-week pregnancy for the March of Dimes 'Men in Labor' campaign. The mission is to improve the health of mothers and babies.

The fathers-to-be participate in four events throughout the program, representing the three trimesters of pregnancy.

“I have so much more respect for every pregnant woman out there because it is tough lugging this thing around all day. But I’ve also learned the do's the don'ts. How to help your baby. How to make sure you have a successful pregnancy,” said Men in Labor participant Audley Campbell.

The men will deliver their babies on November 17th, also known as National Prematurity Awareness Day at Capital Regional Medical Center.
