Other Retailers Should Follow CVS Health’s Bold Example by Ending Sales of Tobacco Products

WASHINGTON, DC – CVS Health’s announcement today that it has ended tobacco sales sends a resounding message to the entire retail industry: Responsible retailers – especially those that provide health care through pharmacies and clinics – should not be in the business of selling cigarettes and other tobacco products. There is a fundamental conflict between promoting health and selling tobacco products, which are the number one cause of preventable death.  Retailers cannot have it both ways

The 6-foot-7 business owner couldn’t control his laughter as he was fitted for a pillow that would serve as his “baby bump” until Sept. 5. He said he knew a man of his stature would definitely attract more than one stare if people saw what looked like a pregnant woman’s expanded belly.

March 9, 2012 marks the launch date of our brand new website.  North Florida Women’s Care CEO; Bill Hambsh prides the office in staying fresh and up-to-date with the latest technology.  We added many new features including links to all of our social media sites, blog, updated patient portal, photo gallery, details about the satellite locations and a calendar of events.  The Public Relations Specialist for North Florida Women’s Care; Adrianne Miller worked with our web designers at Moore Consulting Group.  North Florida Women’s Care likes doing business with local companies as much as possible.  We were very pleased with the professionalism and quality of work provided by this firm and thrilled with what they did for our website.  We hope our patients enjoy this new design and will give us feedback on anything they would like to see us add in the future.

Marching For Babies

North Florida Women’s Care kicked-off their March of Dimes March For Babies event on Friday, March 9th.  Our Team Captain; Elise indicated we increased our fundraising goal this year to $3,200.  She was very excited to share a list of several creative fundraisers planned.  The first one is scheduled for Friday, April 13th.  This is our Annual Chinese Auction and is open to the public.  Check out our Calendar of Events for more information soon.
