Men in Labor Kickoff
North Florida Women's Care and the March of Dimes launched the Men In Labor program on June 18, 2013.
The Men in Labor program highlights the important role of the father before, during and after pregnancy. Being a dad starts before the baby is born. Nine pregnant men showed up at the kickoff to sport their new duds for the next 12 weeks while they go through pregnancy.
This year Shane Kemp, the System Administrator at NFLWC, will be a new dad in the Men in Labor program. “I got involved with Men in Labor because I wanted to educate myself and others on the common problems that we may be able to prevent by developing proper habits during pregnancy. This is for a great cause and raises awareness for all to become more educated.”
