Tiana Smith, MJ
Tiana A. Smith is a native of Saint Petersburg, Fla. She received a bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management from Florida A & M University. She earned a Master’s of Jurisprudence in Health Law from Loyola University College of Law and is pursuing her PhD in Health Care Administration from Walden University. She has been with NFLWC for more than 15 years. In 2004, Tiana was one of the first interns in Medical Records. After a few years, she became the Medical Records Coordinator. By 2006, she was the Supervisor of Health Information Services, HIPAA Privacy Officer and Clerical OSHA Officer.
Through the years, Tiana has had the opportunity to provided 38 students with internships. She beleives in the words of Nelson Mandela that “Education is the most powerful weapon which we can use to change the world.” Tiana is the proud mother of Shamari and Aniya. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and close friends.
